Marc Marquez once again stunned the MotoGP grid by topping Friday's FP1 session in Balaton Park. The reigning world champion returned from injury last weekend in Mugello following a double surgery, and seems to be back up to speed already.
The Balaton Park is one of the shortest and most technical layouts on the MotoGP calendar. This narrow track, in which riders barely have to enter 4th gear,is a lot less physical than Mugello.
With his trademark precision and control, Marc Marquez topped the timing sheets ahead of Raul Fernandez and Pedro Acosta. This comes just one week after his Mugello return, and the number 93 is still recovering from surgeries to his right foot and shoulder.
Championship leaders Aprilia started the Friday seemingly a way off Ducati, they will be looking to build on their results in this afternoon's Timed Practice to ensure their riders get through to Q2.
Turkish WSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu also had a solid session in P10, showing that his familiarity and experience with the track has made a difference.
