The MotoGP Grand Prix of France is set to take place this weekend at the world-renowned Le Mans circuit and we should be in for another classic race as the battle heats up at the front between Aprilia and Ducati. Marco Bezzecchi leads the championship standings after four rounds, taking victory in the opening three and a solid second-place finish in Jerez behind Gresini's Alex Marquez. 2024 World Champion
Jorge Martin has also made a great start in his first full season with the Italian team after a string of injuries sidelined him for the majority of 2025. The Spaniard currently sits in
2nd place in the overall standings.
Fabio Diggianantonio has also had a standout start to the 2026 campaign, scoring podiums in both Brazil and Jerez, which leave him 3rd in the Championship standings.
Reigning world champion
Marc Marquez is coming under increasing pressure to retain his title and
has struggled so far in 2026. Nonetheless, the Ducati star has still managed two sprint victories and sits 5th in the overall standings, behind Pedro Acosta.
Last year's race in Le Mans was one of the highlights of the season as
Honda's Johann Zarco took a historic victory, becoming the first Frenchman since 1954 to win on home turf.
