The Moto2 riders treated the fans to an amazing display at the British circuit, with a four-man group fighting for victory and the podium places today during the final laps of the race.

Championship leader Manuel Gonzalez thought he had won the race with a lap still to go. After the Spaniard slowed down and made slight contact with future MotoGP rider Daniel Holgado, his bike was damaged, causing him to fall down to 14th place in the end.

As a result, Pramac Racing's Izan Guevara managed to close the gap to his rival in the standings and is now 42.5 points behind Gonzalez.

It was another day to forget for future Honda MotoGP rider David Alonso. After being eliminated in Q1 on Saturday, the Colombian also received a long-lap penalty for causing a collision with KTM's Collin Veijer on the opening lap. He finished in 21st place.
