LIVEBLOG | Follow Verstappen in GT World Challenge qualifying at Portimao

After completing a Formula 1 tripleheader over the past weekend, Verstappen stays busy and competes for his own team in the GT World Challenge Europe's final weekend in Portugal. The Dutchman is joined by the team's regular driver, Chris Lulham, and Ben Barnicoat this weekend, as simultaneously, there is a World Endurance Championship round taking place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

In qualifying, Verstappen, Lulham and Barnicoat will each take part in one session. Q1, Q2 and Q3 are split between the three drivers, with each driver participating in only one session. The average of their best lap times will then determine the car's starting position for Saturday's race.

As Verstappen's team competes in the Pro Cup, the #3 Mercedes-AMG car will take part in Group B in all three sessions today.

Verstappen was also investigated by the stewards for causing a collision with Car 25 at Turn 3. The Dutchman was found to be at fault and was handed a reprimand and one so-called 'behaviour warning point'. This will not affect the four-time F1 world champion or his team in qualifying or tomorrow's endurance race.
