Verstappen Racing suffers from a technical issue

After completing the majority of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, Verstappen Racing unfortunately had to missed out on victory after leading the race. Just after a scheduled pitstop where Max Verstappen and Daniel Juncadella swapped places, the Spaniard had to bring the #3 Mercedes back into the pit lane.
The Spaniard explained there was an ABS failure within the car. While he thought he might be able to work around it, that soon proved impossible as he began to feel vibrations and hear noises. Both issues made the car undrivable. Luckily, he was able to bring the car back to the garage. Winward Racing spent the rest of the race repairing the car so they could go out for the final laps and bring it back home.

F1 heads to Montreal for Canadian Grand Prix

While Verstappen spent his weekend racing, other F1 drivers were enjoying their last few days before jetting off to Canada for the Canadian Grand Prix.
The fifth race weekend of the 2026 F1 calendar is also a sprint race weekend, leaving the team with only one free practice. There will be plenty of action in Montreal, as Formula 1 Academy and Formula 2 will also be racing there. Formula 2 was a recent addition to the schedule due to the cancellation of two previous F2 races.
