Middle East conflict continues to influence the 2026 Formula 1 season
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem shared a statement on social media in response to the current Middle East conflict, saying: "Safety and wellbeing will guide our decisions as we assess the forthcoming events scheduled there for the FIA World Endurance Championship and the FIA Formula One World Championship."

Aramco's oil refinery was also on fire today. The Saudi Arabian company is the global partner of Formula 1 and Aston Martin's title sponsor. A statement from the Saudi Press Agency reported that the refinery sustained "minor damage from falling debris," and it caused no injuries or fatalities.

Moreover, the Imola circuit is seemingly the unofficial reserve venue if the Bahrain GP gets cancelled, but a spokesperson for the track told GPblog that they have heard nothing at all about possibly replacing that round of the F1 season. GPblog listed every option and alternative here as well!
