F1 LIVE: The second free practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

It is time for the second free practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and that is, as usual, the most important session of this weekend. Here we will see if Max Verstappen has a chance to take on Mercedes around the Yas Marina Circuit. Follow all the action live here with GPblog's live blog.

The Formula 1 season is almost over because with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix we have arrived at the last race of this unique season. The last race of the season has been held at the Yas Marina Circuit for many years now and, despite all the changes due to the coronavirus, that is no different in 2020.

As usual, because of the temperature differences, FP2 is the most important workout of the weekend. FP1 and FP3 are in completely different conditions in the afternoon and therefore could give a wrong picture. The teams and drivers will therefore pull out all the stops in FP2 to collect as much data as possible.

Mercedes seems to be the big favourite again in Abu Dhabi, but in recent races, Verstappen seemed to be getting closer. How close will Verstappen get to the Mercedes duo during the last race of 2020 and what does that promise for 2021?
