Schumacher sees Verstappen and Ferrari as a 'good match'
Speaking on the
Backstage Boxengasse podcast, former driver
Ralf Schumacher explained that the four-time world champion would be
a good fit for Ferrari.
"I already have the feeling that the Italians can well imagine that the fastest man in the field will soon be sitting in the Ferrari," the German began.
Currently, the Scuderia has seven-time world champion
Lewis Hamilton among its ranks.
"Everything starts from scratch. It may be that his (Hamilton's) driving style suits the new concepts much better."
Nevertheless, the German still believes Verstappen would fit the Italian team much better "in terms of attitude."
Rosberg names Verstappen in his top five drivers of all time
Speaking on the Sky Sports F1 Show podcast, Rosberg placed the Dutchman alongside Lewis Hamilton, Ayrton Senna, Juan Manuel Fangio, and Michael Schumacher.
"His car [Max Verstappen's] wasn't the best this weekend. I'm pretty sure of that.
"What I learned about Max Verstappen is that he's also now becoming, or has been, so smart that he actually makes such fundamental set-up decisions," he said.
The German also weighed in on McLaren's decision to ask Oscar Piastri to hand Lando Norris back the position, after a slow pit stop dropped the Briton behind his teammate and title rival at Monza.
