The United States Grand Prix gets underway with the only practice session of the weekend, in a vital session for teams and drivers. Who will come out on top? Follow GPblog's liveblog to find out! Sublime sprint weekend in store?
The
Circuit of The Americas plays host to the forth sprint weekend of the season, with the standalone FP1 session followed by qualifying for Friday's sprint race.
After a fine one-two finish in Austin last season for
Ferrari, there is little hope that they will be able to replicate that performance, with
Lewis Hamilton saying
the Scuderia are "limited" with what they can do.
In front,
McLaren have sealed the constructors' championship, but a bubbling rivalry between championship leader
Oscar Piastri and teammate
Lando Norris looks set to continue as the drivers' title battle heats up.

Special liveries for sprint weekend
McLaren will also be bringing a brand new livery in the United States for this weekend,
adding some chrome to their papaya-coloured car with a Google Gemini livery after sealing back-to-back team titles at the Singapore Grand Prix last time out.
They are not the only team to be making changes to their colour scheme in the Lone Star State, with Racing Bulls announcing this
as they partner up with Cash App and American country singer, Shaboozey.
Williams also brings a new lick of paint to the Circuit of The Americas this weekend
with a special 2002-inspired livery for Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz, while Aston Martin unveiled their
first bespoke livery in the team's history with a science-inspired, one-off design.
