Verstappen looked strongest at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. The Dutchman was fastest in every practice session and also looked good in qualifying. Yet it was the Ferrari drivers who secured the first-row on the grid for Sunday. Verstappen will have to start from P3 in the hunt for his 16th win this season.
For Max Verstappen, third position on the starting grid in Mexico is no stranger. In 2021, the Dutchman also started from the second row of the grid and passed the two Mercedes drivers as early as the first corner. Naturally, Verstappen is hoping for that scenario again now. The Mexican Grand Prix starts on 29 October 2023 at 20:00 UK time. You won't miss a thing from the race with this liveblog from GPblog.
