Heartbreak for Perez as his home race quickly ends on Lap 1

What should have been the highlight of his Formula 1 season for Sergio Perez has ended in tears. The Red Bull Racing driver had a mega-start but entered the first corner too eagerly. There was no room there for Max Verstappen as well as Charles Leclerc and Perez: the latter was tapped by the Ferrari driver, who ended up in the Red Bull sandwich with nowhere to go. As a result, Perez's home race ended after only a few hundred metres.
