Since last year, Max Verstappen has been living with his girlfriend Kelly Piquet and their family in Le Renzo, one of Monaco’s most exclusive residential complexes. The building is part of the brand-new Mareterra district, which was completed at the end of 2024. This is what it looks like inside—and out.
Verstappen has lived in Monaco since 2015, his debut year in Formula 1. Over time, Kelly moved in with him along with her daughter Penelope. In 2025, baby Lily joined the family. The household also has three cats and a dog, so there may have been a need to move to something larger. The choice fell on Le Renzo, a striking apartment complex for which Verstappen explained in detail live on television exactly where his home is located. Charles Leclerc and Fernando Alonso also live in the building.
Le Renzo is located on the western side of Mareterra and overlooks the Petit Portier harbor and the Mediterranean Sea. The building was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano, after whom the complex is named, and is inspired by the bow of a ship. In total, Le Renzo has 47 apartments, divided among different types of residences, including duplexes, triplexes, and penthouses. The starting price of a home in the complex is 65 million euros.

This is how Max Verstappen lives in Monaco

The exact residence Verstappen owns within the complex is not known. However, an apartment in the same building is currently for sale, giving an impression of the type of residences found in Le Renzo. The property offers 528 square meters of living space and 151 square meters of terraces with views of the sea and the harbor. In addition, there is a large open living area, a master suite with double dressing room and bathroom, two additional suites, a fully equipped kitchen, and a wine cellar. The luxury residence has a price tag of 76.8 million euros.
The building itself provides residents access to a large number of shared amenities. For instance, Le Renzo has a 24/7 concierge service, secured access for residents, and valet parking. There are also various wellness and fitness facilities, including a seawater pool, fitness rooms, saunas, hammams, and massage rooms.

The complex also includes multiple lounges, meeting rooms, a hair salon, and a children’s play area. According to the developer, sustainability is also an important part of the design, including the use of solar panels and systems that use seawater for heating and cooling.
Le Renzo is part of Mareterra, a new district with many residences, shops, restaurants, and public spaces. The project was built on land reclaimed from the sea and is considered one of the largest expansions of Monaco in recent decades. More than forty percent of the area consists of greenery and public outdoor space.

Le Renzo previously made headlines due to a massive purchase. An apartment in the same building was reportedly sold for 471 million euros, which, according to various media, would be the most expensive home sale ever.
The buyer was Ukrainian businessman and multibillionaire Rinat Akhmetov. The apartment in question spans five floors and includes, among other things, 21 rooms, a private pool, a jacuzzi, and eight parking spaces. The total living area is approximately 2,500 square meters, excluding the terraces and balconies overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
