We have now reached the fourth Grand Prix of the season. This weekend the race will be held at the famous Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where normally the winter tests of Formula 1 take place. Max Verstappen, Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton all have pole position behind their name. Who will set the fastest time on Saturday?

Sergio Perez, with an RB16B, has the potential to be good enough for pole position. Red Bull Racing will have to work hard to achieve this though, as the ninth and tenth positions in the second free practice session are not very promising. The times were not representative and the Austrian team is confident about a good result for the weekend.
The drivers know the track in Barcelona very well, although there is a small change since 2021. At turn 10 some changes were made last winter, so it will take some getting used to for the drivers to keep all wheels on the asphalt.

When is the qualifying for GP Spain?

Qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix starts at 14:00 on Saturday afternoon. Earlier in the day, the third free practice session is also scheduled. The last practice session starts at 11:00 and lasts an hour, just like qualifying.
