In a moment of great frustration after another disappointing qualifying result, Lewis Hamilton said that Ferrari “should probably need to change driver.” Obviously, his words stem from the heat of the moment, but is it something the Maranello team should start seriously considering? Once again today, just like in Spa, Lewis Hamilton was forced to call it quits early in qualifying, ending the session with only the 13th fastest time and failing to make it out of Q2.
It was another disappointing result for the Briton, who once again couldn’t place his SF-25 anywhere near the sharp end of the grid.
A result made all the more painful by the fact that his teammate, Charles Leclerc, pulled off a late flyer to take pole position.

That comment clearly came in the heat of the moment, but it still raises questions. A
fter fourteen qualifying sessions, with a fourth place as his best result and zero podiums in the races — compared to Leclerc’s five — should Ferrari seriously start reassessing Hamilton’s position?
