Verstappen: "I feel stronger and fitter than ever"

Max Verstappen is about to finally start the 2020 season. By many, he is designated as the driver who will make things difficult for Lewis Hamilton this season.

In a video call from Aston Martin that he performs with Martin Brundle and Alexander Albon, Verstappen announces that he is ready for the coming season. He has had a lot of contact with Adrian Newey, Helmut Marko and Christian Horner during the corona break.

"I'm not expecting it", says Verstappen when asked if he's going to have a hard time getting back in the car for the first time in months. I feel stronger and fitter than I’ve ever been. That doesn’t mean that when you step in the car that your body has to react to it. Also the Red Bull Ring not the most physical track so it’s quite nice to start there. Also I got really good results there and it's our home track.”

“I’ve been in contact with Adrian, Helmut and Christian. With all my engineers. When I get tot he track we will get through the final details. We know that were bringing some parts tot he car and hopefully they’ll work. We know what car we had in Barcelona, i know it’s a long time ago. We know what we can do better to improve the car. We’ll see what happens.”, ends the Red Bull Racing driver.
