Verstappen convincingly elected Driver of the Day at Silverstone!

On Sunday afternoon Max Verstappen won his first race of the season. The Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, who dominated the race today, were trumped by Red Bull Racing at the Silverstone circuit. The fans at home have therefore chosen the Dutchman as Driver of the Day.

Nico Hulkenberg came in number two on his return to Formula 1 behind Verstappen in the battle for the title 'Driver of the Day'.

Due to his victory, Verstappen moved up to second place in the World Championship standings passing Bottas. The gap to the Hamilton in the championship is exactly thirty points after the fifth Grand Prix of the year.
