It was undoubtedly a wonderful weekend for the Red Bull Racing team. Max Verstappen broke an iconic record, and Sergio Perez finished second. Christian Horner talked to Sky Sports about the race and the record.

Battles with Sainz

Verstappen started the race in second place. Carlos Sainz was allowed to start from pole position, and held on to defend his first place in the early stages of the race. Later in the race, Sainz also found himself battling Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc. This did not go without a fight.
Christan Horner commented on his drivers' battles with Sainz: "There were a few comments made. Carlos was robust. He was a little late at times, he moved a bit but he’s driving a Ferrari at Monza. He’s going to defend for his life so we expected it. It was on the limit, great racing. For us to win here is massive."

Verstappen managed to set the record of ten wins in a row at Monza. Horner responded happily: "That’s now 14 wins in a row. To think we’re leaving Europe unbeaten is insane. We are taking it one race at a time. Singapore, street race and it can rain. Toughest challenge on the calendar. We have massive challenges between now and the end of the season, and 9 other teams that want to stop us."
