Strange scenes at entrance Red Bull Ring: Norris cools forehead with water bottle

Formula 1 has stressed in recent weeks that the safety measures around the Austrian Grand Prix are so strict that the chance of a COVID-19 contamination is reduced to a minimum. In practice it turns out that maintaining this is not always easy.

We already saw images of the team management chatting with Sebastian Vettel and the top three drivers shaking hands after qualifying as usual. All human mistakes, which are also forgiven by the FIA.

The controllers are no stranger to any human behavior either. On Saturday RTL Germany shot footage of the arrival of Lando Norris on the circuit. At the entrance he appears to have a too high body temperature.

The lady who has to check this probably assumes this is because the youngster of McLaren has been walking in the sun for a while. And so Norris gets the opportunity to cool his head with a bottle of water and he can continue. Innocent of course, but it is not really accurate.
