Guenther Steiner is entering his eighth season as team boss of Haas F1. The Italian born may be known to fans as 'a bit crazy' in the motorsport's premier class, but he is certainly not going to change. On the contrary, he sees his personality as his strength.
Within the Netflix series Drive to Survive, Steiner is a big hit. The team boss does not mince words and that makes him one of the stars of the series. Statements like 'we look like a bunch of wankers' went viral in recent years. Certain quotes by Steiner were even printed on t-shirts.
In an interview with GP Racing, Steiner says he is not going to and does not want to change. "I am who I am, and I don't want to change. Why should I. Whatever I do in life? I want to say real to me. I don't need to change. I'm good. I mean, I can learn, I can try to do things better in the future. But my personality - no, I don't want to change. I was always a little bit like this: I do what I like to do, and they I like to do it."

Steiner often uses the word 'f*ck'

The 57-year-old top executive then comes up with a wise lesson: "Sometimes it's better if everyone thinks you're an idiot. Because when they underestimate you, you can do your job better," he laughs. And why he says 'f*ck' so often? "I don't know why I say 'f*cck' that often. It comes out automatically. I think I've got something in my brain, some sort of instability, that that word always comes out."
