Mick Schumacher's IndyCar debut race ended within the first couple of corners.
After Schumacher's unsuccessful attempts to return to the Formula 1 grid and spending time in the World Endurance Championship with Alpine, the German driver returned to single-seater racing this season.
The former Haas F1 driver joined IndyCar on a full-time basis for the 2026 season with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, driving the #47 Honda-powered car.
After qualifying in 21st place, Schumacher was involved in an incident involving Sting Ray Robb and Santino Ferrucci in Turn 4 through no fault of his own.
As a result, he is currently in last place in the standings with 2.5 points.
