No pole for Verstappen: 'Tried something else in second run '

"It's always tough around here to put the whole lap together," Verstappen interjected. "I think the second run we tried something different on the outlap which was maybe not idea at the end."

Verstappen will start Sunday's Baku Grand Prix in second place. "We are P2 and we know that we have a really good race car. So, all in all, it's not bad. We will have to pass one car."

Before the GP is run, Saturday first awaits qualifying for the sprint race and the sprint race itself. Verstappen and the other Formula 1 drivers get in the car tomorrow and then have to be right there in the first qualifying session. Immediate sharpness is therefore required.
