For the first time this season, there is no RB19 on pole position. Charles Leclerc and Ferrari surprised in Azerbaijan on Friday afternoon and thus start the race from the best starting position. For Nyck de Vries, the reverse is true. The AlphaTauri driver crashed in the first qualifying session and will start last on Sunday.
Max Verstappen may have a shot at victory from second place. Competition comes not only from Charles Leclerc, but also from behind. Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz will be hoping for a good start to pass the Dutchman directly from the second row of the grid.
George Russell will start from 11th after being eliminated in Q2. The Mercedes driver is expected to have better race pace than some men ahead of him, such as Oscar Piastri and Yuki Tsunoda.
