The McLaren team has just announced via its own channels when it will unveil its 2023 car. The curtain will go down on Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri's new car on 13 February. Presumably, the car will be named MCL37, although this has not yet been confirmed by the Woking-based team.
McLaren is the fifth Formula 1 team to have revealed when it will present its new car. Previously, AlphaTauri (11 February), Aston Martin (13 February), Ferrari (14 February) and Alpine (16 February) announced their date.
Via which way the 2023 car will be presented to the outside world remains to be seen. There is a chance that the British racing stable will opt for an entire presentation that can be followed live on the internet.
Andrea Stella succeeded Andreas Seidl, who decided to leave for Audi to take up the Formula 1 project there. Next season, McLaren will drive Mercedes engines for the third season in a row. This era with Mercedes has seen one win, by Daniel Ricciardo in 2021.
