Leclerc escapes stewards' punishment: "Hard to catch up even without DRS".

Charles Leclerc won last year at Spa-Francorchamps, but this season it was no more than fourteenth place. These are frustrating times for the Ferrari driver, who by the way escaped a punishment from the stewards.
Leclerc was accused of driving unnecessarily slow to his spot on the grid prior to the race. However, the 22 year old driver made a test start while the timing had already started. That explains why it took him so long. So logically the race management decided not to intervene either.

Leclerc is fed up with pit stops

"It is extremely frustrating," Leclerc said to various foreign media afterwards. The Belgian Grand Prix of 2020 was one to be quickly forgotten for Ferrari. "It was a very difficult weekend for us. The race wasn't exactly easy either. We had problems at both my pit stops. I lost some time and positions as a result".
However, the young Monegasque did not want to give up just like that and went in pursuit. "I tried to catch up but it's hard for us to catch up, even with the DRS. We need to get to work and find something. It's very difficult this way," concludes Leclerc.
