Following the cancellation of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix for next weekend, speculation immediately started about if and when the race will be made up. An Italian journalist was already circulating the story that the race might be made up after the Belgian Grand Prix. That would then happen on 6 August 2023.
Meanwhile, there has also been a response from the FIA's vice-president, an Italian who is also the president of his country's motorsport federation. The latter indicated to Gazzetta dello Sport that it is a '99 per cent chance' that the Grand Prix will not be made up until 2026. The current contract with Formula 1 expires after the race in 2025, so a year would be added to the current commitment.

More will undoubtedly become clear about the overtaking in the coming days.
