In addition to yet another disappointing result in his season, the Hungarian Grand Prix also marked a statistical low point for Lewis Hamilton – the kind of stat no driver ever wants to see.
For Lewis Hamilton, the Hungarian Grand Prix was one of the worst weekends of his first season so far as a Ferrari driver.
Knocked out in Q2 with the twelfth-fastest time, the seven-time world champion failed to mount a comeback as he had in Spa the week before, crossing the finish line in the exact same position he started.
Having finished outside the points, the Briton slipped even further behind in the drivers' standings compared to Charles Leclerc, who now leads his teammate by a full 42 points after 14 rounds.

Hamilton's unwanted statistics in Hungarian GP

For Hamilton, however, beyond the disappointing result, the Hungarian Grand Prix came with another negative statistic — the kind no driver ever wants to see.
The Briton finished the race at the Hungaroring lapped for the first time since the 2022 Imola Grand Prix, the inaugural year of the ground effect regulations.
On that occasion, Lewis ended the race in thirteenth place after another very difficult weekend, while his teammate George Russell finished fourth.
Hamilton also appeared very hard on himself in statements to the media, admitting before qualifying that Ferrari would "need to change driver."
However, he was able to count on the support of his former team principal Toto Wolff, as well as Frederic Vasseur, both of whom came to the driver's defense during a difficult time.
