'Hamilton and Verstappen are on their own in this battle'

The drivers' and constructors' championship battle is still wide open with two Grands Prix remaining in the 2021 Formula One season. Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas could play a very decisive role in how the World Championship unfolds, but according to Timo Glock, we don't have to take much notice of Red Bull Racing and Mercedes' second drivers.
The F1 analyst thinks that especially Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton will decide who will win the World Championship. Bottas' performance in Qatar is, in Glock's view, illustrative of what we have been seeing for some time.

Bottas disappoints

"At no point did he show that attitude where you get the feeling he is desperate to get to the front to support Lewis Hamilton. He drives his races without any risk and he always needs motivation from Toto Wolff. I think Lewis and Max are on their own in the fight to decide the championship," Glock told Sky.
Perez's performance is also underwhelming according to the former Formula 1 driver. Last Sunday the Mexican had to start from a disappointing eleventh position after he did not survive Q2. In the end, he managed to finish fourth. With GP weekends in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi still to go, it is time for Perez and Bottas to find some speed.
