Max Verstappen managed to grab his third Formula 1 victory in a row in the Spanish Grand Prix. The Dutchman really had nothing to fear from the competition and came in with a lead of more than 20 seconds. The other podium places were for Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.

Sergio Perez had to come from outside the top-ten and hoped for a podium finish, but the Red Bull Racing driver fell just short of that. The Mercedes was remarkably fast and managed to keep the Mexican's RB19 behind. Carlos Sainz, who was allowed to start second, dropped back to P5 due to the SF23's high tyre wear.

For the Aston Martins, it was a mediocre Sunday. Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso came no further than a respective sixth and seventh place. Esteban Ocon, Guanyu Zhou and Pierre Gasly grabbed the remaining points.
