Our thoughts are with his family and friends," the manufacturer shared from Imola, where the WEC teams are active this weekend.

Juha Miettinen (66) passed away earlier on Saturday after a serious accident on the Nordschleife. The crash occurred early in the race, after which it remained unclear for a long time what exactly had happened. Shortly before 8:00 pm local time, teams and media were asked to come to the press room at the German circuit. There, it was announced that the driver has passed.
