Lando Norris can clinch his first F1 title tomorrow in the Qatar Grand Prix: here's what needs to happen.

How Norris can win the drivers’ title in Qatar GP

Norris can clinch the world championship in Qatar under a range of scenarios that all depend on where Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen finish relative to him. If Norris wins, he’s champion regardless. If he finishes second, Piastri must be fourth or lower and Verstappen third or lower. Third place would still be enough if Piastri comes fifth or worse and Verstappen finishes fourth or lower.
The pattern continues down the order: fourth works if Piastri is sixth or lower and Verstappen fifth or lower; fifth if they finish seventh and sixth or lower respectively; and sixth if they’re eighth and seventh or lower.
Even seventh could seal the title if Piastri is ninth or lower and Verstappen eighth or lower, while eighth only works if Piastri is outside the top ten and Verstappen ninth or lower. Anything worse than ninth for Norris means the fight carries on to Abu Dhabi.

Drivers' standings update after the Qatar GP

As mentioned earlier, Norris can be considered reasonably satisfied with his third-place finish in the Sprint, which allows him to approach tomorrow’s race with cautious optimism, given the prime opportunity to wrap up the championship a race early.
Norris now leads the standings with 396 points, 22 ahead of Piastri and 25 clear of Verstappen, with the Dutchman now looking like the driver with the smallest chance of taking the title.
