FP3 postponed indefinitely due to heavy rainfall in Austria

The third free practice of Formula 1 has been postponed because of the heavy rainfall. The Formula 3 race of the Saturday morning was prematurely stopped earlier.

It was literally hanging in the air for some time, but the third free practice session of the Styrian Formula 1 Grand Prix has been postponed indefinitely. The F1 announced this on Saturday morning.

All teams will stay inside their pit garages for the time being in the hope that the rainfall will decrease in the course of the day. Qualifying is still scheduled for 14:00, but it can also be rescheduled or even cancelled. Should this be the case the F1 will try to qualify on Sunday morning, if the weather doesn't allow it the FP2 times will be used as qualifying times.
