Norris announces new project to help young talents reach Formula 1

The project was announced ahead of the F1 Italian Grand Prix. The team will be called LN4 Fusion, with the ultimate ambition of helping young talents reach Formula 1.

The team principal will be René Rosin, who previously worked for Prema. Dan Richards will be the CEO, while Dan Hazlewood will join as the team principal of the UK operations and Guillaume Capietto will serve as the team's racing director.

LN4 Fusion has also confirmed its intention to enter the team application process with a view to competing in Formula 2 in 2027, the competition announced, after the team also acquired selected assets from AIX Racing.

They will also take over AIX Racing's Formula 3 team and definitely compete in that series next year.

The Briton said: "I'm a fan of racing. I have been since I was a kid. As much as I love the driving part, I also love supporting other young drivers. I love to watch racing. I love to be involved. It's something I'm going to want to be in well after my own career. It's an opportunity to stay connected to racing, be part of something, help others.

The LN4 Legacy Programme will also help funding young drivers' careers, and provide a team around them they can rely on.

Norris continued: "The aim is pretty simple. We want to build a team that can compete with the very best in all the junior categories. We've brought together a very strong group of people with a huge amount of experience in the sport. And we want to build it into something properly for the long term.

About the long-term goals, he concluded: "I think the main part of this for me is I get to simply stay very involved in racing, and because this is a very long-term project, it's not just a two-year, five-year, 10-year. Hopefully this is much longer.
