Lewis Hamilton topped FP1 of the Hungarian Grand Prix ahead of Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel as Valtteri Bottas sat the session out as he had his engine changed.
The session started in the dry, with Hamilton setting the fastest time before the rain started to fall just before halfway through the session.
During the first dry part of FP1, there were spins for both Lance Stroll and Verstappen, with the Dutchman's at the final corner in a strange incident when he was on a fast lap.
As the rain came down, the track was quiet for around ten minutes before it dried up again and drivers were able to go back out on slick tyres once again.
Sergio Perez became the second Racing Point to spin out as he lost control shortly after dry running returned, and a few laps later the Mexican had a huge lock up and ran wide.

Verstappen spun again with just five minutes to go as he struggled for grip throughout the session.
It was a frustrating morning for Bottas as he failed to set a lap time and was under investigation for entering the pitlane the wrong side of the bollard, in a similar incident to Hamilton’s last week in Germany. Hamilton received a penalty during the race, but it is more likely to be a fine or reprimand for the Finn.
Kevin Magnussen had a good session for Haas as he came home fifth ahead of Charles Leclerc.
