The Chinese Grand Prix has been extended by five years and is here to stay. This means the Shanghai International Circuit will be on the calendar at least until 2030.
While Zandvoort announced this week that it would only extend its contract by one year, it was announced on Friday morning that the Chinese Grand Prix will be on the calendar at least until 2030. China has secured its spot on the current 24-race calendar for years to come.
Between 2020 and 2023, the Chinese Grand Prix was not run. This was partly due to the coronavirus. This year, the race returned at the Shanghai International Circuit, with Sauber driver Zhou receiving a lot of support as the first-ever Chinese driver in the sport.
