The 2026 Formula 1 calendar has been changed slightly from its original format as the sport welcomes in an overhaul of the regulations. F1 will visit 24 venues in a record-equalling calendar as Madrid makes its debut at the Madring while Imola is no longer part of the championship.
There will be three pre season tests as the 11 teams get up to speed with the new cars, featuring vasty different chassis and engines.
The first test will be private and kick off on 26-30 January at the
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain, a track the drivers know incredibly well.
F1 will move to Bahrain for the second test and will allow the teams three more days of running from 11 to 13 of February, while the Bahrain international Circuit rounds off pre-season from the 18th-20th of February.
Azerbaijan Grand Prix moved forward by a day
As well as the extensive testing, the
Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku will be held on Saturday the 26th of September.
The original plan was for the 51-lap event to take place on Saturday, the 27th of September, but it is being moved forward to accommodate a national day.
