Roberts departs

Williams team principal Simon Roberts will leave the team as part of an internal reorganisation at Williams, the team announced in a press release. Roberts joined Williams in June 2020 and played an important role in the takeover of the new management. Now, however, it is time for new leadership.
''Simon has played an integral role in managing the transition over the last 12 months and I would like to thank him for his great contribution during that time,'' says the new team boss, Jost Capito.

''It has been a pleasure to take on the role of Team Principal following the departure of the Williams family from the sport. However, with the transition well underway I am looking forward to a new challenge and wish everyone in the team well for the future'', said outgoing Team Principal Roberts.
As part of the reorganisation, the team boss' responsibilities will fall to Jos Capito, while FX Demaison will be responsible for engineering and everything around the track.
