BREAKING: Russell and Latifi stay with Williams!

George Russell has kept his place with Williams. So the rumours about Sergio Perez's arrival appear to be wrong after all. Williams' team boss finally clarified this on Friday.

Great news for George Russell and Nicholas Latifi, but also especially for Formula 1. The Brit seemed to be losing his place at Williams last week. Earlier this year, Russell and Latifi were confirmed as the drivers for 2021, but after a lack of clarity with Simon Roberts, speculation started.

Sergio Perez is said to have tried to get a seat at Williams at the expense of Russell. After Esteban Ocon, the British driver would be the second from the Mercedes programme to lose his seat, but that is not the case. The main question now, therefore, is where Perez will be driving.
