Watch: How to stop Virtual Safety Cars from deciding races

The Russian Grand Prix was the latest, but certainly not the first time a Virtual Safety Car has decided the outcome of a race. Under VSC, all drivers have to slow down significantly, making it far more profitable to make a pitstop. Mercedes took advantage in Russia to get ahead of Charles Leclerc, but Sebastian Vettel did the same thing in Australia last year, and Daniel Ricciardo also did it in China 2018, although he did have overtaking to do after his free stop.
