Oscar Piastri experienced a big moment after more than an hour of testing at the Bahrain circuit. In the second sector, the rookie lost control of his McLaren and spun. There were no walls nearby and so the 2021 Formula 2 champion was able to get away under his own power.
Piastri had just put down a purple first sector and was thus heading for a fast lap. On steering in, however, his MCL60 broke out, leaving no salvation.
