AlphaTauri had a very good year in 2020, topped off with a Pierre Gasly victory in Italy. AlphaTauri also performed well in the midfield, but had to settle for seventh place in the Constructors' standings. Ferrari, however, would have been close behind.

In 2021 AlphaTauri wants to make a step forward and that makes sense, because as a customer team AlphaTauri will receive the new parts from Red Bull Racing. Where all other teams need tokens to make that step, customers get the new parts for free. Whether that is enough for Franz Tost's team to make a step forward remains to be seen.
