Everything is set in Uzbekistan for the annual FIA end-of-year gala, where Lando Norris will officially receive the world champion’s trophy.
With the on-track season now in the books, 2025 is ready to be written into the history pages — but not before the traditional ceremony that wraps up a year that proved intense, long and full of twists right to the end, in Formula 1 and beyond.
After sealing the first title of his career at the end of a nail-biting fight with Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri, the newly crowned world champion is finally set to receive the winner’s trophy — a moment that officially confirms his status as the new number one on the grid.
McLaren is set to receive its second consecutive Constructors’ Championship, sealed well ahead of the Drivers’ title this year, after having already triumphed last year — also in Abu Dhabi.

When and where the 2025 FIA Awards Ceremony will take place?

The FIA Gala will take place tonight, Friday, December 12, at 6:00 PM GMT. The chosen location is Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where the new FIA president will also be announced — although it’s no secret that the 2026–2029 term will once again go to the current president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem.
The event can also be watched live via the official FIA YouTube channel streaming link above.

In addition to celebrating the world champion, the gala will hand out awards in other categories, including the World Rally Championship, World Endurance Championship, Formula E, and karting.
On top of that, awards will be given for Action of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Outstanding Official, and the FIA President’s Awards. This year, two new prizes will also be introduced: Excellence in Communication and National Motorsport Achievement.
