Due to the Coronavirus, it's becoming increasingly unlikely that Formula 1 will visit China for their annual Grand Prix. This will have major knock-on effects even if they decide to cancel it altogether and not reschedule.
Marc Priestley, a former McLaren mechanic discusses the impact that either cancelling or rescheduling will have. He says, if they reschedule teams will be unlikely to say yes due to booked holidays, travel expenses and the tight fixture list as it is. While cancelling all together will create plenty of time between Grands Prix at the start of the season and therefore allow for more development.
