De Vries makes miles on rainy Imola in Alpha Tauri F1 car

Nyck de Vries is busy preparing for his first full Formula 1 season. As part of those preparations, he was at the Imola circuit on Wednesday, where he clocked up some miles in Alpha Tauri's F1 car.

Ahead of his rookie season in the premier class of motorsport, De Vries has already gained experience with changing conditions. Using an old Alpha Tauri F1 car, he drove around a wet track at Imola, which seemed to go well for the Dutchman.

Outside this test, De Vries has had few opportunities to prepare for his debut as a regular F1 driver. The only official test ahead of the 2023 season will take place from 23 to 25 February in Bahrain. However, the AlphaTauri driver did put in a lot of miles in 2022 and even drove a Grand Prix, filling in for Alexander Albon.
