Update | 'Not just Herbert, Di Resta also leaves Sky Sports'

Johnny Herbert will no longer be seen as an analyst on the British broadcaster Sky Sports in 2023. The former Formula 1 driver has announced this on his Instagram page.

The three-time Grand Prix winner shared a picture of himself and his colleagues with the following caption: "I'm going to miss this team." That the feeling is mutual can be seen from the reaction of his Sky Sports colleague Natalie Pinkham: "Johnny, love you forever ever," the presenter wrote.

Herbert was an active F1 driver from 1989 to 2000, driving a total of 160 races for seven different teams. During his career, he won three races, including two with Benetton and one with Stewart.

After his racing career, Herbert embarked on a career in the media, joining Sky Sports as an analyst in 2012. One of the most notable moments in his media career came after the Japanese GP, where the Brit was the one to inform Max Verstappen that he had won his second championship.

Following the news that Herbert will no longer be seen at Sky Sports in 2023, Mirror Sport has learned that Paul di Resta is also leaving the British medium. Di Resta was an F1 driver at Force India from 2011 to 2013, returning for one race as Felipe Massa's replacement at Williams in 2017.
