It seems that Max Verstappen might soon make his official racing debut in the Nürburgring Endurance Series. According to German media, the Dutchman could possibly be in action this weekend already.
It's been a very busy few weeks for four-time world champion Verstappen, as it seems. The Dutchman won, against all expectations, the Grand Prix of Italy last weekend. There was no time to really celebrate, as a Pirelli test is planned in Monza.
Even though the next Grand Prix is scheduled for next week, it very much looks like Verstappen will be racing again this weekend. According to Auto Motor und Sport, Verstappen plans to travel to the German Eifel this week to participate in a race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series.

Return of Franz Hermann?

The story was denied during the race weekend in Monza by Verstappen's camp. However, it is not inconceivable that this was done to prevent possible onlookers.
When the Dutchman did a GT3 test on the Nürburgring earlier this year under an alias, it was also to avoid possible hysteria. Since this is a race, where drivers have to register under their real name, it is not an option to participate under a pseudonym this time.
