George Russell has now become the hottest F1 commodity as of late since F1 world champion Max Verstappen confirmed his stay with Red Bull until 2026. However with the Brit still yet to sign a deal for 2026, two other teams have been revealed as having an interest in the Mercedes driver.
Prior to the Hungarian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen reasserted his committment to Red Bull Racing, but only for 2026. This opened up the door for Russell to finall receive clarification on his future.
This, however, may not have come in the most expected of ways for the Briton with Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff refraining from issuing a clear statement on the length of the deal the British driver would be offered.

Aston Martin and Cadillac knock on Russell's door

According to Sky Sports, the team currently fielding Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll reached to Russell to enquire as to his situation and where his F1 future stood.
The British sports broadcaster also states that General Motors backed newcomers, Cadillac, were also in contact with the Briton.
As such both Aston Martin and Cadillac will have to look elsewhere should the first want to ready themselves for Fernando Alonso's future retirement, and the latter complete its driver line-up.
