In a recent interview with a young Formula 1 fan, Valtteri Bottas was asked why he let Lewis Hamilton overtake him in Russia last year. The team asked Bottas to let Hamilton through and the Finn followed the team orders. This season it seems that Bottas has come back as a new driver and it seems unlikely that he will be letting Hamilton through again.
In an interview previewing the Bahrain Grand Prix, a young fan got the chance to sit down with Bottas and ask him some questions. The topic of the controversial Mercedes team orders came up and the young fan wanted to know why the Finn let Hamilton past.
"I let him past because he was fighting for the championship and I wasn't anymore," said Bottas.
The youngster wanted Bottas to know something.
"Never ever give up your dream," he said.

It seems that the Finn has taken this advice on board this season as he has come back a brand new driver. Watch the interview down below.
