Lando Norris will be back behind the wheel of the McLaren less than 48 hours after clinching his F1 title, the Woking-based team has confirmed to GPblog.
Lando Norris likely had a long night of celebrations in Abu Dhabi after securing his first Formula 1 world title. Monday is for sobering up and time for some sleep, because the freshly crowned champion will be back in action on Tuesday.

Norris to take part in Pirelli test

Norris will be taking part in the post-season Pirelli test. While Max Verstappen is skipping it, the Brit will be present at the Yas Marina Bay Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Teammate Oscar Piastri will also be in action.

This Pirelli test is dedicated to running compounds which will be homologated on 15 December for the 2026 season. They won’t be driving the 2025 F1 car, but a mule car fitted to accommodate the new Pirelli tyres.
Running simultaneously with the Pirelli test is the Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi, open to drivers who have competed in a maximum of two Grands Prix. The team's IndyCar driver, Pato O'Ward, will represent McLaren in that test on Tuesday.
