Toto Wolff addressed the drivers' criticism of the new generation of cars after the Australian Grand Prix.
"I didn't hear any one of the drivers speaking particularly well of the last cars and saying it was the best car, so we tend to be very nostalgic when looking at past events."

Wolff reacts to Norris' claim

Reigning world champion Lando Norris said during the weekend that Formula 1 went from having the most fun cars to the least enjoyable ones.
Wolff told GPblog, among others: "I didn't hear any one of the drivers speaking particularly well of the last cars and saying it was the best car, so we tend to be very nostalgic when looking at past events.
"But clearly, we are all stakeholders of the sport, we need to have a great spectacle, the best cars in the world and the best drivers and being exciting for the fans and that's why we just need to look at the product.
"One perspective is the view of the drivers, which is an important perspective, but Stefano [Domenicali] would say that the single metric that matters to him is whether the fans like it."

The Austrian keeps the door open for adjustments. "That is what we need to look at. And if it needs to be tweaked, if we need to adjust, I think we have the flexibility in Formula 1 to always make those decisions," he concluded.
