Toto Wolff knows Max Verstappen and George Russell well. After the Canadian Grand Prix, the Austrian was asked to weigh in on the dynamics between the two drivers.
After Spain was there a conversation? Wolff explained to media present after the race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve: "These two guys sat in go-karts and racing cars for more than 10 years and have fought each other and have known each other off the track as well."

No love lost between Russell and Verstappen

But how are the overall dynamics between Russell and Verstappen? Wolff responds tellingly: "I think they are very civilized when they see each other."
But when the lights go out, so too do the niceties, notes Wolff. "It's just on track, it's a fierce battle, different characters, different personalities and I don't think that is particularly different going into the first corner, whether there's Max aside or George aside, you just want to come out of it," said the Austrian.
